This role focuses on building and optimizing high-performance Android applications that deliver smooth, responsive, and seamless user experiences. Working with Product, Design, QA, and Engineering teams, the role develops new features, improves application performance, and delivers fluid UI transitions and animations. It takes ownership of performance profiling, troubleshooting, and optimization across app startup time, CPU utilization, frozen frames, memory consumption, and UI rendering.
The role also explores and leverages AI tools to improve development efficiency in daily engineering workflows.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of Android applications, ensuring high performance, reliability, scalability, and code quality.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve performance bottlenecks related to app startup time, screen load time, CPU utilization, frozen frames, memory consumption, and UI rendering.
- Implement smooth UI transitions, animations, gestures, and micro-interactions to deliver a responsive and seamless user experience comparable to Blinkit and Zepto.
- Profile and optimize Android rendering performance, scrolling behavior, frame rendering time, and main-thread execution to minimize UI jank and frozen frames.
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to translate UI/UX requirements into polished, high-performance Android experiences.
- Establish performance benchmarks, monitor production metrics, and continuously improve application responsiveness and resource efficiency.
- Lead technical design discussions, break down complex engineering problems into actionable tasks, and ensure timely, high-quality feature delivery.
